Description

The 3M™ Attest™ 1292 Rapid Readout Biological Indicator is designed for monitoring steam sterilization processes at 121°C/250°F gravity and 132°C/270°F vacuum-assisted cycles. Each self-contained indicator contains a Geobacillus stearothermophilus spore strip, sealed within a glass ampule containing growth medium. The brown color-coded cap features perforations for sterilant penetration and includes a filter to prevent bacterial contamination during processing.

These biological indicators offer a high level of assurance for sterilization, challenging sterilizers with highly resistant spores to confirm efficacy. The rapid readout allows users to assess sterilization performance within three hours of processing, supporting timely validation of sterilization cycles. The indicators are compatible with 3M™ Attest™ Auto-Readers 293, 290, or 390, providing reliable integration into automated monitoring systems.

The compact and protective packaging ensures safe transport and handling, minimizing the risk of accidental damage to the vial or contamination of the spore strip.
